Bearing Off
Through the end of the game, at some point you will have all your fifteen checkers in your home board. Here is where you start “bearing off” which simply means collecting your checkers regarding your dice rolls. You can remove one checker for each dice rolled. Let’s say you have a roll of 6-3, you can remove one checker from your 6 point and one checker from your 3 point. If you don’t have anything on 6 you can remove a checker from the next highest point. If you don’t have anything on your 3 point and still have checkers on higher points than you have to move one of the checkers from higher points 3 points. Bearing off is optional to the player. You can always make a legal move if you don’t want to bear off (you may still have uninvited guests in your home board).
